CoolRides is reservation-management software used by independent ground transportation companies ("operators"). The CoolRides platform sends transactional text messages only — no marketing or promotional SMS of any kind.
Message types
- Receipt links — a link to the receipt for a completed, paid trip.
- One-time login codes — a passcode requested by the user to sign in to their operator's booking portal.
- Trip dispatch notifications — trip assignments sent to an operator's own drivers, who confirm by reply.
How users opt in
- Riders consent when booking service with their transportation operator. The operator records that consent on the rider's profile in CoolRides — a checkbox stating "Rider agreed to receive text messages (receipts & trip updates; reply STOP to opt out)" — and the platform stores the date and time consent was given. The platform will not send receipt or trip texts to a rider whose profile does not have recorded consent.
- Portal users sign in to their operator's booking portal with email by default. Texting is optional: choosing "sign in with a phone number instead" requires ticking an unchecked consent checkbox ("I agree to receive a one-time login code by text…") before a code can be sent, and users may decline and use email at any time.
- Drivers agree to receive dispatch texts as part of their working agreement with their operator.

Opt-out and help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out; a final confirmation message will be sent and no further texts will be delivered to your number. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@getcoolrides.com.
Frequency and fees
Message frequency varies with your activity (typically one to three messages per trip or login). Message and data rates may apply.
Privacy
